What Rubik AI is
Rubik AI is a personal assistant app. To answer you, your messages, photos and files are sent securely to the AI providers we use (Anthropic, OpenAI and xAI). They process them to produce an answer and do not use them to train their models.
What we keep
- Your account (name, login, and for under-18s their date of birth so answers suit their age).
- Your chats, and pictures, videos and documents you create, so you can come back to them. You can delete any chat at any time.
- Usage and cost totals per month, to keep the service fair and affordable.
Calendar
If you connect your calendar in the phone app, Rubik AI reads your events on your phone only when you ask about your schedule. The events are sent with that one question to answer it and are not stored on our servers. Rubik AI never adds or changes an event without you confirming it in your phone's calendar screen.
Health data (Apple Health, Health Connect, Garmin)
If you connect health data, Rubik AI reads sleep, steps, heart rate, heart rate variability, workouts, weight and similar data from Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android) - including data your Garmin, Apple Watch or other wearable syncs there - only when you ask a health or fitness question. It is sent securely with that question to answer it, is not stored on our servers, is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared for any other purpose. You can disconnect at any time in Rubik AI settings or in Apple Health / Health Connect.
Children
Accounts for under-18s are created by a parent. Answers are kept age-appropriate, and the parent may receive a safety alert if a message suggests the child may be at risk (for example self-harm or abuse). Children are told this in the app.

Under South Africa's POPIA you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Email [email protected].
